How to submit an abstract?

Abstracts can only be submitted by conference participants upon registration. The registration form is set up in such a way that the abstract section can also be completed/edited after your registration is complete: you can therefore choose to submit your abstract at the time of registration, or at a later date (or not submit an abstract at all). Once your registration and payment are complete, you will receive a confirmation email with a link allowing you to fill, complete, or edit the abstract details – within the deadlines below.


Abstract submission deadlines [NOW CLOSED]

We will accept one abstract per registration – provided it is not out of topic with the conference – but note that it needs to be submitted by the first early-bird deadline (May 31 June 7, 23:59 CEST) if you want it to be considered for a contributed oral presentation (12 min + 3 min Q&A). Otherwise, if you only want to present a poster, you have until June 30, 2022 (23:59 CEST) to submit it.

  • To be considered for oral presentations: May 31 June 7, 2022

  • For poster presentation: June 30, 2022 (23:59 CEST)

The choice of oral presentations will be made in June by the organizers of the symposium to which you submitted your abstract (see full list), there will be approximately 170 contributed oral presentations.

Abstract format

Abstract details are entered directly into the registration form. After choosing the symposium for which you want to submit your abstract, you will be required to enter the following information into the form fields:

  • Title

  • Authors

The list of authors must include your name, and you must present the poster or oral contribution

  • Affiliations

Example format: (1) EPFL, Switzerland, (2) University of Somewhere, Country, (3) Princeton University, USA

  • Text of abstract (plain text, max 150 words – longer texts will be cut)

Formatting: In case your abstract text requires special formatting (subscripts, greek letters, formulas, etc.), please enter them in LaTeX format. Example: molecule $H_2O$, parameter $\alpha$, conference $\Psi_k$.
